This tool will Crimp Copper PEX Rings on to Pex Tube and Fitting sizes 1/2" & 3/4".
This tool was designed to fit the common PEX Manifolds that you can purchase either on line or in any Big Box store, like Home Depot, Lowe's or Menard's. These Manifolds are commonly 2" on center, making this, the ideal tool to fasten your PEX tubing to it, as it fits between the Soldered Tubes.
Why Copper Crimps? Ask any plumber, they will tell you that a Copper Crimp is preferred because its a 360 degree crimp. Unlike Stainless Steel Ratchet style crimps, which have the majority of their holding power limited to where the cinch is, and not equally around the joint.
It also works well in 'hard to get at' spots in your PEX related projects as well. Whether your are under a vanity, or between floor joists, this little powerhouse will allow you the leverage you need for a solid crimp every time.
Its easy to use, just remove the bolts, put the 2 halves of the crimper around the copper ring. Replace the bolts, and tighten the 2 halves together. Because the tool is calibrated to the proper diameter, you get a perfect crimp every time. The bolts are Hardened Grade 8, so you can use a wrench, ratchet or even a screw gun with a socket if space allows. The unit also comes with instructions.
